What do you imagine when you hear the word wedding? Do you imagine a beautifully busy table with 2 different types of forks and 2 different drink glasses? I’m sure you’re also thinking about the full seated meal and the DJ. There are champagne walls and open bars. Don’t forget the wedding favors or the photobooth! The list could go on and on. Let’s put a pause on that and look at a different approach!
We’ve noticed that minimalism is not just a trend. The concept, which involves freeing yourself from clutter and, to put it colloquially, “stuff,” has been around for some time. Turns out the movement is here to stay! Thanks to Marie Kondo we’ve all realized how stressful a cluttered life can be. To quote Marie’s most famous phrase: “Does it bring you joy?”, many couples are asking that question about wedding day details. Why the sudden change? It’s unfortunate but inflation is in full swing. With more couples opting to fund their own nuptials, every dollar does count. The solution? Focus on the most important details of the day instead of adding more “stuff” as people like to say. We’ll be the first to admit that we were a bit skeptical. Our team loves all the details and too much is not in our vocabulary. This past February we had the pleasure of coordinating a beautiful rooftop wedding in Greenville, SC. Madison and Zach wanted a cozy intimate wedding that was truly about celebrating their love. This event definitely opened our eyes!

First let’s talk about ceremony decor. We know how beautiful floral arches can be and we adore them! The one thing that you do have to be wary of is the price tag. Instead, Madison opted for simple and elegant candle pillars. These pillars fit so perfectly into the space and adding a soft touch against the city skyline. We loved the way the light reflected against the glass!

We often hear that location is everything when it comes to weddings. This wedding was no different. Why add decor when you have a gorgeous skyline as your backdrop? With a view like that, we have no doubt guests had a wow moment as they took their seats. Up on the Roof Greenville is a well known destination for beautiful city views and delicious cocktails. We love that it had cozy vibe.

We know that neon signs starting trending back in 2021 and we don’t think it’s going away anytime soon! What a fun way to add some personalization to your big day. There are so many varieties to choose from but how sweet is this 5 ft acrylic heart? We are now officially obsessed. This was a beautiful focal point for the reception.

How gorgeous is this wedding cake? We love the metallic gold accents and cake topper. It’s understated and elegant. The Farmhouse Bakery in Seneca, SC created this and it fit the couple perfectly!
We hope this post gives you some inspiration to focus on what’s important to YOU on your wedding day. No matter how you decide to celebrate your love, remember that you don’t have to follow tradition! Make your day uniquely you!
Cheers!
